The Blair Orthopedics Clinic at Tyrone Hospital represents an expansion of services for Blair Orthopedics which also has offices in Altoona and Roaring Spring. The clinic will also further expand the orthopedic services available at Tyrone Hospital. Services offered by the Blair Orthopedics Clinic will be in addition to those offered through the University Orthopedic Clinic at Tyrone Hospital. Area residents will be able to call one phone number to access both orthopedic clinics.
Services at the Blair Orthopedics Clinic will be provided by Board Certified and fellowship trained physicians, Jonathan P. Van. Kleunen, M.D., Shawn C. Saylor, D.O. and Eric M. Kephart, D.O.
Jonathan P. Van Kleunen, M.D. Orthopedic surgeon and Fellowship trained Sports Medicine specialist will provide surgical and/or non-surgical treatment for a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries, illnesses and disabling conditions. John Spearly, CEO at Blair Orthopedics said he welcomes the opportunity to provide excellence in orthopedic care and a compassionate patient experience to Tyrone area residents. “This collaborative effort between Blair Orthopedics and Tyrone Hospital will expand needed orthopedic care in the Tyrone community” said Spearly.
The Blair Orthopedics Clinic will be conveniently located on Tyrone Hospital’s first floor and will give area residents access to office appointments and surgical care with Blair Orthopedics’ physicians close to home. Blair Orthopedics’ physicians will be in the clinic on Mondays and will allocate their time for both office hours and surgery.
Stephen Gildea, CEO at Tyrone Hospital said area residents can now access both Blair Orthopedics and University Orthopedic Center through clinics that each of these practices has established at Tyrone Hospital. “We are excited about the relationships we now have with all of these outstanding orthopedic physicians and the options they are offering to the community.”
Mr. Gildea said there is a significant need for orthopedic care over the course of a person’s lifetime from the broken bones and injuries associated with children at play, sports and work related injuries, and the orthopedic needs of the elderly. “Approximately twenty-five percent of the people who seek care in Tyrone’s emergency department do so because of an orthopedic related injury or illness.”
Blair Orthopedics has been the largest and most trusted provider of surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal care in Central Pennsylvania for over 30 years.
The Blair Orthopedics Clinic will accept most insurances. Appointments can now be scheduled by calling (814) 684-6301.
