Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care
Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care is a regional referral center for foot and ankle deformities and injuries
that now has an office in Tyrone along with Altoona, State College, and Ebensburg.  The podiatrists care for patients with
complex podiatric needs and receive referrals from throughout central Pennsylvania and Maryland. The practice uses the
newest technologies available to provide state of the art care for patients.

Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care provides podiatric care for the whole family from children to geriatrics.
Disorders treated include but are not limited to fractures of the foot and ankle, ulcers, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown nails,
thick nails, ankle, foot and heel pain, corns and calluses, plantar warts, and children’s foot deformities. The practice also
offers patients alternative treatments such as participating in ongoing research studies sponsored by pharmaceutical
companies.

Meet Our Podiatrists

Tyrone Hospital is pleased to welcome podiatrists Gary Raymond, DPM, L. Jolene Moyer, DPM, Matthew Sabol, DPM,
and William J. Wiedemer, DPM of Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care to the Tyrone Hospital campus.
Most of the physician’s are also members of the Tyrone Hospital medical staff.

 
Dr. Gary Raymond
Dr. Gary Raymond, D.P.M.

Dr. Raymond is a native of Gallitzin and a graduate of Penn Cambria High
School. He obtained his Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania
as an undergraduate and received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple
University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia where he ranked 4thin his
class of 130. After completing his surgical residency at the Community Hospital
in Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Raymond returned to Altoona where he has been practicing
since 1983.

Dr. Raymond was a member of the Pi Delta Honor Society, Stirling Hartford
Anatomical Society and the National Dean’s List. He is Board Certified in Podiatric
Surgery, a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, and is a Fellow
in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has published articles in the
journal of the American Podiatry Association and the Journal of the American College
of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been a principal investigator and a sub-
investigator for several clinical drug studies including post-surgical analgesics,
diabetic ulcerations, infections and ankle sprains.

He is a resident of Hollidaysburg with his wife, Donna, and two children, Carly and
Alex. Dr. Raymond enjoys tennis, running, golf and coaching basketball.
   
Dr. L. Jolene Moyer

Dr. L. Jolene Moyer, D.P.M.

Dr. L. Jolene Moyer is a native of Cresson, PA.   She is Board Certified in ankle,
rearfoot, forefoot surgery in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS).
Dr. Moyer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from
St Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.  She received her Doctorate of Podiatric
Medicine degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. Dr. Moyer
completed a three-year surgical podiatric residency program at the University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh. Her residency consisted of forefoot,
rearfoot and reconstructive ankle surgery as well as diabetic wound care.
Dr. Moyer is currently the Chief of Podiatry at Altoona Regional Health System.
She also serves as the Surgical Director of Advanced Regional Center for Ankle
and Foot Care.

Dr. Moyer and her husband, Jesse, currently reside in Altoona, PA with their daughter
Jada.

   
Dr. Sabol

Dr. Matthew Sabol, D.P.M.

Dr. Matthew Sabol was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is Board Qualified in
ABPS. Dr. Sabol attended Duquesne University, where he majored in Biology. He
is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Sabol completed a three year Residency program through the University Hospitals
Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. His training consisted of one year of primary podiatric medical training, which included wound care, biomechanics and pediatrics, as well as
two years of surgical training.

Dr. Sabol resides in the Hollidaysburg area, where he enjoys golfing, bowling and
watching Steeler football. He is engaged to Tawnya Houck and has plans for marriage
in 2010.

   
Dr. Wiedemer

Dr. William J. Wiedemer, D.P.M.

Dr. William J. Wiedemer is also Board Certified in the American Board of Podiatric
Surgery and is a Duncansville native. Dr. Wiedmer is a graduate of the Temple
University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He
completed a two year surgical residency in podiatry at St. Francis Medical Center in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Wiedemer resides in Duncansville with his wife Suzy
and their son Nicholas.

Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care participates with most major insurance companies.
