About Us
Tyrone Hospital is the centerpiece of the Tyrone Hospital campus. It is a 25 bed critical access hospital that provides general medical
and surgical care including a twenty-four hour emergency department, a wide range of outpatient diagnostic services, and a short term
inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing care program.
From routine family care to specialized surgical procedures, Tyrone Hospital provides services to meet the healthcare needs of you
and your family. As a community based healthcare resource, Tyrone Hospital has served area residents since 1954. The facility is
located on a scenic wooded campus in the community of Tyrone. The hospital is conveniently situated between Altoona and State
College and it is easy to access off of Interstate 99.
Tyrone Hospital is preferred by individuals who seek a variety of services in a less institutional and more friendly and personalized
healthcare environment. The hospital’s diverse medical staff gives people access to primary care physicians as well as a variety of
specialists.
Tyrone Hospital’s size is also very “patient friendly”. You will find parking located just steps away from the main entrance
and a facility that is easy to navigate. Outpatient testing is available early morning, evening, and weekend hours to accommodate work
and school schedules. And, when you visit Tyrone Hospital for services, you will find you can be “in & out” in less time than it may take
at a much larger facility.
The range of services, physicians, and medical technology available at Tyrone Hospital makes it easy for your and your family to
access the health care you need, comfortably, and without traveling long distances. |
